DIGITAL TO DIRECT From exocad 3D Design to Biomimetic Composite Veneers
IN A NUTSHELL: the course teaches minimally invasive esthetic dentistry, progressing from basic tooth-color treatments to advanced direct and semi-direct no-prep composite veneers. Participants learn digital smile design with exocad, natural composite layering, morphology, texture, polishing, shade matching, and the digital fabrication and customization of composite veneers.
During this intensive training, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the spectrum of noninvasive chemical treatments and minimally invasive restorative techniques. Applications will address both localized and generalized conditions. The curriculum will begin with a brief overview of vital bleaching, micro- and macro-abrasion, resin infiltration, non-vital bleaching, and fragment reattachment. The main focus of the course will be the morphology-driven fabrication of direct and semi-direct no-prep composite resin veneers. The program includes developing a digital wax-up using exocad, an advanced digital dental design platform, followed by optimizing the corresponding 3D-printed model, including surface texture refinement. Participants will then fabricate silicone indexes and practice the natural layering technique on two central incisors, with particular emphasis on mastering morphology, surface texture, polishing, and shade matching. The course will then introduce digitally designed semi-direct composite veneers, fabricated using milling or 3D-printing technology and subsequently customized to achieve optimal morphology, texture, and esthetics.
Who should attend? New and experienced dentists and extended function dental assistants.
