Magne Education facility features a spacious educational center to provide a professional and productive learning environment for lectures and hands-on courses. Additionally, we have developed a clinical space in order to take our hands-on experience to the next level by opening the doors to live patient experiences and modules. Magne Education facility boasts panoramic views overlooking Beverly Hills, allowing natural sunlight to pour in, while shades can be drawn to create the perfect setting for audio-visual presentations.
Our resident faculty
Sam Alawie
Sam Alawie earned his Master Dental Technician degree in Brussels, Belgium, in 1994 and was then invited to complete advanced training at Ivoclar in Liechtenstein. He moved to the United States in 2003 and founded Beverly Hills Dental Laboratory in 2006.
In 2008 he joined the USC School of Dentistry as a Visiting Instructor. He became a Key Opinion Leader for Nobel Biocare in 2009, and in 2012 he became Visiting Faculty at the UCLA School of Dentistry, co-instructing its Implant and Esthetic Continuum. He has taught hands-on crown and bridge courses and presented in the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
In 2014 he opened an educational facility for dentists, technicians and students. In 2020 Willi Geller of the Oral Design Foundation invited him to join the Oral Design Family, and he is an Associate Member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He founded Magne Education in 2022 and serves as its CEO.
Dr. Pascal Magne
Dr. Pascal Magne graduated from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, in 1989 and became a lecturer at its dental school. He earned a DMD in 1992 and a PhD in 2002, the year he and his mentor, Professor Urs Belser, published Bonded Porcelain Restorations in the Anterior Dentition: A Biomimetic Approach, later translated into 12 languages. From 1997 to 1999 he carried out research at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
In 2004 he joined the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC as full-time tenured faculty and the Don and Sybil Harrington Professor of Esthetic Dentistry. His work there produced more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, and from 2012 to 2020 he was preclinical director of the Dental Morphology, Function and Esthetics module.
In 2021 he and Urs Belser published the second edition, Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry, in two volumes. After 33 years in academia, he has served as Director of Magne Education since 2022.
Dr. Ed McLaren
Dr. Ed McLaren is a prosthodontist and master dental ceramist. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from the University of Redlands, earned his DDS at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, and after several years in general practice received his specialty certificate in prosthodontics from the UCLA School of Dentistry.
At UCLA he founded and was first director of the Postgraduate Esthetic Dentistry Program, directed the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry, and founded the UCLA/LACC Master Dental Ceramist Program for dental technicians. At the University of Alabama at Birmingham he founded and directed the Advanced Dental Esthetics, Restorative and Biomaterials Program. He is retired from professorships at both schools.
He is CEO of ArtOral America, a private teaching institute in Park City, Utah, and keeps a private practice limited to prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry. He has authored or co-authored more than 90 articles and the book The Art of Passion: Ceramics, Teeth, Faces, and Places.
Michel Magne
Michel Magne received his dental technician certification in Switzerland in 1979 and holds a B.S. in dental technology from Southern Illinois University. He specializes in aesthetic rehabilitations and bonded porcelain restorations and has published extensively on these topics.
He spent 12 years as owner and director of the Oral Design Center at the Dental Laboratory in Montreux, Switzerland. Before joining Beverly Hills Dental Laboratory, he ran his own laboratory, 901 Oral Design, in Marina del Rey, and was an associate professor of clinical dentistry and director of the Center for Dental Technology at the University of Southern California.
He has lectured and taught at UCLA, USC, New York University, the University of Geneva and the University of Barcelona, and has served on journal editorial boards, including the European Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. He is an associate member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and the older brother of Dr. Pascal Magne.
Dr. Mehrdad Razaghy
Dr. Mehrdad Razaghy completed his bachelor's degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, then spent a year in neurosurgery research at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, contributing to six publications.
His dental research began in Dr. Pascal Magne's laboratory at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, and he has since worked on many projects with international visiting scholars under Dr. Magne's guidance. His focus is biomimetic and minimally invasive restorative techniques and dental materials, with work published in Dental Materials and The International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. He is a member of the Bio-Emulation group.
He practices general and restorative dentistry in Beverly Hills and lectures internationally on biomimetic dentistry, dental photography, additive dentistry, digital smile design, rubber dam isolation and bonded porcelain restorations. As Clinical Director, he takes part in patient demonstrations during Magne Education hands-on courses.
Andrew Jin Kim
Andrew Jin Kim, known as Andy, is a certified master dental ceramist who was raised in Los Angeles. He earned his Dental Technician Certification through the LACC Dental Prosthetic Technology program and completed the Master Ceramist Program at the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry under Dr. Edward McLaren, both in 2012.
His UCLA training covered modified Geller models, substructure design and cosmetic restorations for live patients, along with micro and macro dental photography for communication with doctors and patients.
In 2014 he took on a faculty role and joined Beverly Hills Dental Laboratory, where he trained under Sam Alawie and Michel Magne. He serves on the faculty of Magne Education.
Julianne Pyne
Julianne Pyne is from Walpole, Massachusetts. She studied Dental Assisting at Massasoit Community College, graduating in 2013 as Vice President of her class, and then earned her DANB certification.
She began her career in chairside dental assisting in oral surgery, endodontics and general restorative dentistry. After moving to Los Angeles in 2018, she moved into dental administration, where she was introduced to biomimetic restorative dentistry.
As Education Coordinator at Magne Education, she supports the learning experience of course participants and handles communication with them.

Dr. August de OliveiraDDS
Dr August de Oliveira graduated from dental school in 1997 from the University of Washington and completed his General Practice Residency in Los Angeles in 1998. Dr de Oliveira has been lecturing on 3D technology since 2004, when he started as a CEREC Basic Trainer. With Digital Enamel, Dr de Oliveira has been teaching advanced CEREC courses since 2005. Since 2008 he has been involved with Implant Direct’s R and D department developing Guided Surgery Software and Hardware and testing their CAD Milled Bars and Substructure Department. Dr de Oliveira is a alpha and a beta tester for numerous other companies such as Sprintray, Formlabs, Desktop Health, Asiga, Akuretta, VHF, 3Shape, Exocad, Blue Sky Bio, Tru Abutment, and 3DIIthe makers of Dentiq Guide.
Dr de Oliveira has written three books on Dentistry: Implants Made Easy, Dental 3D Printing Made Easy and Guided Implantology Made Easy. He has been involved with beta testing Sirona’s Sidexis Program, as well as developing the Opti and CEREC Milled Surgical Guides. Dr de Oliveira is on the board of directors at Sprintray and beta and alpha tests numerous 3D printers and 3D printing software. Dr de Oliveira has completed over 300 digital hybrid arches and taught Digital and Analog Restorative at Implant Pathway, on live patients. Dr de Oliveira has taught 3D Printing and Exocad design at The MOD Institute and is the former Director of MOD West.
Dr de Oliveira has written numerous articles focusing on Digital Dentistry, Photogrammetry, Digital Implantology and 3D Printing and Digital Design. Dr de Oliveira is a certified Unity VR and AR Software Developer and is currently developing Virtual Reality simulations in dentistry and Mixed Reality 3D diagnostic tools for Augmented Reality Headsets.
Dr. Wael AttDDS, Dr Med Dent, DMD, PhD
Dr. Att is a professor of prosthodontics at the Department of Prosthodontics at School of Dentistry, University of Freiburg, Germany and former Professor and Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is the co-founder of The Face Dental Group in Boston. Also, Dr. Att is the Head of the United States Education Delegate of The International Team for Implantology (ITI) and the United States Ambassador of The European Association for Osseointegration (EAO). He is a board-certified prosthodontist from the German Society of Prosthodontics and Biomaterials (DGPro) an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), International Academy of Digital Dental Medicine, International College of Prosthodontists, Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics and others. He serves as Past-President of the International
Academy for Digital Dental Medicine (IADDM), Past-President of the Prosthodontics Group of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) as well as President of the Arabian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (ARAED). A widely published and internationally respected clinician and lecturer, Dr. Att’s main focus within teaching, research and private practice is esthetic and implant dentistry as well as well as the implementation of cutting-edge digital technologies in both reconstructive and multidisciplinary dentistry.
Dr. Tiffani DunnDDS
Dr. Tiffani Dunn is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and has proudly called Kona, Hawai‘i, her home ever since. She is a Kois Center Graduate, the first woman in Hawai‘i to earn this distinction, and an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a designation held by fewer than 400 dentists worldwide.
Dr. Dunn completed her biomimetic continuum and serves as visiting faculty with Magne Education. Her work has been published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry as well as other respected dental journals. She is Hawai‘i’s Key Opinion Leader for Ivoclar and the only female Ambassador for The Dental Advisor.
Currently pursuing her AGD Fellowship, Dr. Dunn is passionate about dental and creative photography and enjoys lecturing to colleagues on topics that elevate both clinical excellence and artistry in dentistry.
Dr. Jennifer HaddadDDS
Dr. Jennifer Haddad is a native of Southern California and always had an eye for aesthetics.
Dr. Haddad earned her Bachelor’s in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, and her Master’s in Global Medicine, both from USC’s Keck School of Medicine. Further, she holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the USC Ostrow School of Dentistry. While there she earned national academic honors from Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and was recognized by faculty with the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award for her outstanding clinical achievements. Additionally, she was the recipient of the Clifton O. Dummett/Nicola Malik Ethics Award and the Carl Reider/Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry Endowed Scholarship which recognized her clinical presentation skills.
Dr. Haddad, a Triple Trojan, is dedicated to giving back to her Trojan community. In 2018, she served as USC faculty to assist with the first-year dental morphology, function, and esthetics course taught by Dr. Pascal Magne, the father of biomimetic dentistry. She has done considerable work with aiding disadvantaged children and adults throughout Los Angeles and Kern counties. And she currently serves as a mentor to dental students and new graduates.
Dr. Haddad follows the philosophy toward dentistry espoused by Dr. Pascal Magne: « Less dentistry is the best dentistry. » Minimally Invasive Dentistry, This is a fundamental approach to her practice of dentistry in the heart of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills.
Her primary focus with every patient is not only to provide comfort and quality, but to assure an exceptional outcome with outstanding esthetics.
Dr. Victor KhatchaturianDDS
Dr. Victor Khatchaturian is a graduate of the University of Southern California, one of the best training institutions in the country. He has practiced cutting edge dentistry for decades and has completed several postgraduate courses in different fields of dentistry since receiving his DDS degree.
Dr. Victor Khatchaturian has a wide range of experience in different areas of dentistry, from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to surgical treatments and root canal therapy. He has a particular reputation for providing among the best dental veneers in Beverly Hills and beyond. His emphasis on patient comfort as well as keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry enable him to provide his patients with among the highest quality of care in the field.
Dr. Alexie AguilDDS
Dr. Alexie Aguil is the founder of Exquisite Dentistry.Â
Originally from the Philippines. He moved to the US in 2001 to pursue his dreams and later earned his dental degree at UCLA.
He is a KOIS CENTER graduate and trained at Spear Education.
Dr. Aguil completed his biomimetic continuum in 2024 and serves a visiting faculty.
Currently pursuing his AACD accreditation and AGD fellowship.
